Noble, in its many forms, was started by Norman McNaught and has been in the Northern Irish heating trade for over 25 years. Norman started out as an industrial and commercial estimator. With a belief that he could do things better himself he then started his first company Noble Mechanical.

Noble Mechanical was very successful in assisting in the installation of solid fuel heating with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. After a few years Norman went in search of manufacturers of gas products as he believed this would be the future of heating within the next 20 years.

With the aim of increasing public interest, Norman opened a gas fire retail shop in Bangor called “The Fireside Centre” where the first live gas fire in Ireland was displayed.  Behind the scenes, the distribution section of the business was growing as the increasing interest of gas home appliances rolled out in Northern Ireland.  Eventually the retail operation was closed to concentrate on the supply of product nationwide.

Noble grew from strength to strength over the next few years, and with the introduction of Natural Gas into Northern Ireland, Noble were at the cutting edge, being the largest importer of gas appliances in Ireland. During this time Noble was able to sustain a majority share of the central heating boiler market for over 7 years.

Ryan McNaught joined Noble in 1999 and worked his way up through the company through Specification and Retail developments. In 2010 Ryan became a Partner in the company bringing new ideas and marketing ideas to the company. This has also brought a wealth of IT based knowledge to the company which is now used on a daily basis.
